Overview

Following a visit to Pens Meadow School, whose students have very complex and severe disabilities, it was established that a tensile fabric shade structure was required to create an outdoor classroom.  Further requirements included minimal stanchions and a good deal of light transmission due to the proposed site being close to the school building and other integral classrooms.

Fabric Architecture had just the structure for this application, the 8m Single Conic from its Signature Structures range of pre-designed products.  In addition, a bright yellow fabric leg wrap was incorporated for the main stanchion and the Solar Glass Weave grade O fabric canopy gave the required light and airy feel. 

The school were taking on this project themselves and through expertly handled Account and Project Management they were delighted with the finish result – “Everyone here is thrilled by the installation of the canopy.  It was fab to see the reaction of some of the youngsters to it.  Thank you for a very professional service”
