Overview
An impressive tensile structure frames the customer entrance to the Ellesmere Port Market Hall.With the building of a new ASDA Wallmart superstore nearby, the vacated ASDA store was completely redeveloped, including internal fabric screens above trading units and suspended kite structures over cafe and restaurant areas.
The entrance canopy is a single piece, over 40m long and was lifted into place using two cranes in tandem. A fabric weather seal connects the free-standing structure to the building, providing a dry and sheltered entrance and waiting area.
