Hili Fun City Theme Park, Al Ain, UAE
Overview
Hili Fun City Theme park, located in Abu Dhabi, has been attracting visitors for over 25 years. Unveiled by His Highness Sheikh Tahnoon bin Muhammad Al Nahyan in 1985, it has just undergone a complete refurbishment and transformation.
Fabric Architecture Middle East (FAME) was contacted by the Tourism Development & Investment Company (TDIC) of Abu Dhabi to help with the redevelopment by offering distinctive ‘Way Finding’ Canopies within the entrance car park area.
The concept was to add splashes of colour to the car park, as well as creating landmark structures which would enable visitors to find their way with ease. The result was a series of 25 x 4m Skylar Signature Structures with alternating red and yellow canopy colours. 5 further Skylars were located within the park itself to continue the theme from the entrance way.
Canopies were designed, engineered, patterned and manufactured in our UK based headquarters, while steelwork and installation teams were sourced in Abu Dhabi.
FAME has now completed projects in three Recreational Venues in the UAE: Ferrari World, Khalifa Park, and Hili Fun City.
