MODERN DESIGN: THE 'RIBBON' IN THE NEW LIVING LAB @ MEDIACITY, UK
THURSDAY, DECEMBER 1, 2011Fabric Architecture has recently completed a new internal project at the University of Salford, MediaCity UK. The ‘Ribbon’ as it is known, is a modern three dimensional iconic sculptural piece of art. It’s a lightweight tensioned structure which utilises Fabric Architecture’s ArchiClad patented framing system pioneered for Dublin Airport’s new Terminal 2 and featured in Ferrari World, Yas Island, Abu Dhabi.

ARCHICLAD: WAN PRODUCT OF THE YEAR SHORTLISTED

ArchiClad is a sleek, lightweight tensile fabric ceiling system that was created for Dublin Terminal 2. This system is creating such a buzz in the industry that it was picked up by World Architectural News (WAN), where it was shortlisted in the international competition for product of the year.

MONDAY, OCTOBER 4, 2010Fabric Architecture were commissioned to design, engineer, manufacture & supply 2063 bespoke tensile wall mounted facade 'fins' (using our new ArchiClad system) for a prestigious new development in Abu Dhabi. Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, is the world’s largest indoor theme park with over 20 attractions including the world’s fastest roller coaster - accelerating riders from 0 to 60mph in just 2 seconds! As close to the performance of a Ferrari formula 1 car as most of us will ever get! This amazing building spans over 200,000m2 with the exterior taking its design cues from the classic double curvature of Ferrari GT cars.

Yas Island Abu Dhabi
THURSDAY, AUGUST 20, 2009Fabric Architecture has been awarded the contract for the design, manufacture and installation of 50,000 sq m of internal fabric decorative partitions for The Ferrari Experience Pavilion on YAS Island in Abu Dhabi. Opening in 2010, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi is set to be the world’s largest theme park; the contract value for the internal fabric systems is 1.
